Ingredients
- 4 cups brewed hibiscus tea, chilled
- 2 cups cold water
- 1 cup strawberries, sliced
- ½ cup blueberries
- 1 orange, thinly sliced
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced
- 1–2 tablespoons honey or sugar-free sweetener (optional)
- 2 scoops unflavored or berry-flavored protein powder
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
- Ice cubes, as needed
- Fresh mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Brew the tea: Steep hibiscus tea in hot water, then let it cool completely.
- Mix the protein: Blend the protein powder with a little cold water until smooth to prevent lumps.
- Combine: In a large pitcher, mix the chilled hibiscus tea, remaining cold water, protein mixture, and optional sweetener.
- Add fruit: Add strawberries, blueberries, orange slices, and lemon slices.
- Chill: Refrigerate for 1–2 hours to allow the fruity flavors to blend.
- Serve: Stir gently, pour over ice, and garnish with fresh mint.
Tips
- Use unsweetened hibiscus tea for a naturally tangy flavor.
- For a smoother drink, strain the tea before mixing.
- If using protein powder, check that it dissolves well in cold liquids.
- For a lower-carb version, use an unsweetened protein powder and a sugar-free sweetener.
