Ingredients

  • 4 cups brewed hibiscus tea, chilled
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 cup strawberries, sliced
  • ½ cup blueberries
  • 1 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1–2 tablespoons honey or sugar-free sweetener (optional)
  • 2 scoops unflavored or berry-flavored protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew the tea: Steep hibiscus tea in hot water, then let it cool completely.
  2. Mix the protein: Blend the protein powder with a little cold water until smooth to prevent lumps.
  3. Combine: In a large pitcher, mix the chilled hibiscus tea, remaining cold water, protein mixture, and optional sweetener.
  4. Add fruit: Add strawberries, blueberries, orange slices, and lemon slices.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for 1–2 hours to allow the fruity flavors to blend.
  6. Serve: Stir gently, pour over ice, and garnish with fresh mint.

Tips

  • Use unsweetened hibiscus tea for a naturally tangy flavor.
  • For a smoother drink, strain the tea before mixing.
  • If using protein powder, check that it dissolves well in cold liquids.
  • For a lower-carb version, use an unsweetened protein powder and a sugar-free sweetener.
