Ingredients
For the Cake Layer:
- 1 pound (about 450g) sponge cake or pound cake (cut into cubes)
(you can also use store-bought cake or biscuits)
For the Strawberry Layer:
- 4 cups fresh strawberries (sliced)
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Cream Layer:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Optional Cream Cheese Layer (for extra richness):
- 1 cup cream cheese (softened)
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
👩🍳 Instructions
1. Prepare the Strawberries
- Wash and slice the strawberries.
- In a bowl, mix strawberries with sugar and lemon juice.
- Let them sit for 20–30 minutes until they release juices and become syrupy.
2. Make the Cream
- In a large bowl, add heavy cream.
- Beat with a mixer until soft peaks form.
- Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
- Continue beating until fluffy and thick.
3. (Optional) Prepare Cream Cheese Layer
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar and vanilla extract.
- Mix until creamy.
- Fold in a little whipped cream to make it lighter.
4. Assemble the Dessert (Layering)
In a glass dish (like in the picture):
- First Layer: Cake cubes (spread evenly)
- Second Layer: Spoon some strawberry mixture with juice
- Third Layer: Add cream (or cream cheese mixture)
- Repeat layers:
- Cake → Strawberries → Cream
- Top Layer: Finish with a thick layer of strawberries
5. Chill
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 3–4 hours
- Best if left overnight (flavors become richer)
🍽️ Serving
- Serve chilled
- Scoop with a spoon (like a trifle)
- Garnish with extra strawberries if you want

- You can replace cake with biscuits or ladyfingers
