1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
Salt & black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
4 slices cheddar cheese
For the wrap:
1 head iceberg lettuce (large, sturdy leaves)
1 tomato, sliced
½ onion, sliced (or caramelized)
Pickles (optional)
Sauce (optional but ):
¼ cup mayo
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp pickle juice
Instructions
Form patties
Divide beef into 3–4 patties. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cook
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high. Cook patties 3–4 minutes per side.
Add cheese during the last minute to melt.
Prep lettuce
Carefully peel off large iceberg leaves. Wash and pat dry.
Use 2–3 leaves stacked for strength.
Assemble
Lettuce base
Burger patty with cheese
Tomato, onion, pickles
Drizzle sauce
Top with more lettuce and wrap tightly
Serve
Hold like a burger or secure with a toothpick.
