Ingredients
For Dough:
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk
- 2 tablespoons butter (soft)
- 1 egg
For Filling:
- 1 cup cooked chicken (shredded) OR minced meat
- ½ cup chopped capsicum (green pepper)
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce or ketchup
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)
For Topping:
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon chopped coriander or parsley
🍞 Instructions
1. Prepare Dough
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast
- Let it rest for 5–10 minutes until foamy
- Add flour, salt, butter, and egg
- Knead into a soft dough
- Cover and let it rise for 1 hour
2. Prepare Filling
- In a pan, cook chicken/mince with onion and capsicum
- Add salt, pepper, chili flakes, and sauce
- Cook for 5–7 minutes
- Let it cool, then mix in cheese
3. Shape the Bread
- Roll the dough into a large rectangle
- Spread the filling evenly
- Fold or roll the dough
- Cut into strips
- Twist each strip like shown in the picture
4. Baking
- Place on a baking tray
- Brush with egg wash
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20–25 minutes
5. Final Touch
- Brush with melted butter
- Sprinkle fresh coriander/parsley
