Ingredients

Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Strawberry Sauce
- Wash and hull the strawberries.
- Cut them into small pieces.
- Add strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, and water to a saucepan.
- Cook over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When the strawberries soften and the mixture thickens slightly, remove from heat.
- Allow the sauce to cool completely.
Step 2: Prepare the Sundae Base
- Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 3–5 minutes to soften slightly.
- Fold the sliced fresh strawberries into the strawberry ice cream.
- Add a few spoonfuls of cooled strawberry sauce and gently swirl it through the ice cream.
Step 3: Assemble the Sundae
- Spoon a layer of strawberry ice cream into a tall serving cup or glass.
- Add a drizzle of strawberry sauce.
- Repeat the layers until the cup is nearly full.
- Add several scoops of ice cream on top.
Step 4: Garnish
- Top with whipped cream if desired.
- Sprinkle fresh strawberry pieces over the ice cream.
- Drizzle with strawberry syrup.
- Garnish with a mint leaf for a fresh and elegant presentation.
