Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tbsp oil
For topping
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander/parsley
- Pinch of chili flakes
Method
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt. Add yogurt, oil and warm water. Knead 5–7 minutes into a soft dough.
- Cover and rest 1 hour, until puffy.
- Divide into 6 balls. Rest 10 minutes.
- Roll each into a thick, round flatbread.
- Heat a dry pan over medium-high heat. Cook each for 2–3 minutes per side, until puffed and golden spots appear.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, herbs and chili. Brush generously over the hot breads.
- Stack and cover with a clean towel for 5 minutes to keep them soft.
