Pepperoni Pizza Grilled Cheese with Lemon Thyme Honey Mustard
Ingredients:
- 8 slices of your favorite bread
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
For Lemon Thyme Honey Mustard:
- 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
Instructions:
- Prepare Lemon Thyme Honey Mustard:
- In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, fresh lemon juice, and chopped thyme leaves. Set aside.
- Assemble Sandwiches:
- Lay out 4 slices of bread on a clean surface.
- Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce on each slice.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the sauce.
- Add a layer of sliced pepperoni over the cheese.
- Top each with the remaining slices of bread to create sandwiches.
- Grill the Sandwiches:
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.
- Spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each sandwich.
- Place the sandwiches, buttered side down, on the hot surface.
- Grill until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve:
