- Ingredients
- 300–400 g fresh spinach
- 4–5 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
- Wash the spinach thoroughly and drain.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced garlic and cook for 30–60 seconds until lightly golden. Don’t burn it.
- Add the spinach in handfuls. It will look like a lot at first but will shrink quickly.
- Cook for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until wilted and tender.
- Add salt, black pepper and chili flakes.
- Cook another 1–2 minutes until excess water evaporates.
- Turn off the heat and add a squeeze of lemon juice.
