Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Chocolate Pudding
In a large bowl, combine:
- Cold milk
- Instant chocolate pudding mix
Whisk for about 2 minutes until the pudding thickens slightly. Fold in whipped topping gently until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Step 2: Make the Peanut Butter Cream Filling
In another bowl, beat together:
- Peanut butter
- Softened cream cheese
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla extract
Mix until smooth and fluffy. Fold in whipped topping carefully to create a light and creamy texture.
Step 3: Prepare the Dish
Take your glass baking dish and spread a thin layer of chocolate pudding mixture on the bottom. This helps keep the first layer soft and moist.
Step 4: Build the Layers
Place a layer of chocolate graham crackers or cookies over the pudding.
Spread a layer of peanut butter cream mixture evenly on top.
Add another layer of chocolate pudding mixture.
Repeat the layers:
- Cookies
- Peanut butter cream
- Chocolate pudding
Continue until the dish is filled. Finish with a thick creamy layer on top.
Step 5: Add the Toppings
Sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups, chocolate candies, chocolate chips, or crushed cookies over the top.
For extra flavor, drizzle melted chocolate and peanut butter sauce across the dessert.
Step 6: Chill the Dessert
Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
The cookies will soften and create a cake-like texture while the layers become rich and creamy.
