Ingredients

  • 2 × 400 g puff pastry sheets
  • 3–4 teaspoons mustard (Dijon or mild)
  • 150 g hard mozzarella cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare pastry: Roll out one puff pastry sheet. Spread a thin, even layer of mustard over it.
  3. Add cheese: Sprinkle grated mozzarella evenly on top.
  4. Top & seal: Place the second puff pastry sheet over the first. Gently press to seal.
  5. Cut & twist: Cut into strips (about 2–3 cm wide). Twist each strip a few times.
  6. Bake: Arrange on the tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, until puffed and golden.
  7. Serve warm as a snack or party appetizer.

Optional add-ins

  • Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top
  • Add herbs (oregano, thyme)
  • Use spicy mustard for extra kick
