Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 4 large chicken breasts (skinless & boneless)
  • 12 asparagus spears (trimmed)
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Toothpicks or kitchen twine

Optional Cream Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Chicken

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket.
  3. Season inside and outside with:
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Paprika
    • Italian seasoning

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

In a bowl mix:

  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Cream cheese
  • Garlic

Stuff each chicken breast with:

  • 3 asparagus spears
  • Cheese mixture

Secure with toothpicks.


Step 3: Sear the Chicken

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.

Step 4: Bake

  1. Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
  2. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Optional Cream Sauce

  1. Melt butter in a pan.
  2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in heavy cream.
  4. Stir in parmesan cheese.
  5. Simmer until slightly thickened.
