INGREDIENTS:
CABBAGE FRITTERS:
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Two cups of shredded green cabbage
- Half cup chickpea flour
- Two tbsp all-purpose flour
- Quarter cup of finely chopped onion
- Two tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp nutritional yeast
- One tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Quarter cup water
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Half tsp salt
HERBED YOGURT DIP:
- Half tsp garlic powder
- ¾ cup plain unsweetened vegan yogurt
- One tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- One tsp lemon juice
- Quarter tsp salt
INGREDIENT NOTES:
CABBAGE:
- We use cabbage because it is the main item for your fritters. Your fritters will make a good shape if you use this ingredient. Also, you can add savory cabbage for an alternative option.
CHICKPEA FLOUR:
- Chickpea flour will help mix and combine your fritters. This will include a little nutty flavor to your snack as well. Oat flour is also another option for you.
ONION:
- Onion will add sweetness to your fritters. It also improves the flavor of your snack. Use chopped shallots as a substitute idea.
PARSLEY:
- Parsley can maintain the extra taste of spices in your fritters. You can add chives for an alternative option.
NUTRITIONAL YEAST:
- Here, you will use it for the savory flavor of your fritters. Add some vegan parmesan for substitution.
GARLIC POWDER:
- Using garlic powder in your recipe will improve its smell. Also, it can mix easily in your fritter mixture. Use fresh garlic as an alternative.
PAPRIKA:
- Paprika will give your fritters a good color, or use smoked paprika for another idea.
LEMON JUICE:
- Use lemon juice to make your dip & fritters refreshing. Lime juice is another idea for you to try as well.
UNSWEETENED VEGAN YOGURT:
- We need yogurt to make the dip in this recipe. We will add the unsweetened vegan yogurt for this.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Take a mixing bowl and add shredded cabbage to it.
- Also, include parsley and chopped onion to mix this mixture.
- Now include pepper, salt, garlic powder, paprika, nutritional yeast, and both flours.
- Include lemon juice and water as well.
- Then mix all of this to make a batter.
- Take your frying pan and warm olive oil in it over medium heat.
- Now, take some of the cabbage batter and add it to the pan.
- Make it a little flat with your spatula and cook for four minutes on all sides.
- Cook all the other fritters like this as well.
- Then put them on paper towels so they don’t remain too oily.
- Combine all the components for the dip in a bowl.
- Now your recipe is complete for you to serve.
