Ingredients:

For the crust:

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • ¾ cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

For the toppings:

  • ½ cup sugar-free pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup cooked sausage or pepperoni slices
  • ½ cup cooked bacon bits
  • ½ cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • ½ cup sliced bell peppers (optional)
  • Fresh basil or oregano for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven:
    Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the crust:
    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine shredded mozzarella and cream cheese. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring halfway, until melted and smooth.
    Add the egg, almond flour, baking powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until a dough forms.
  3. Form the crust:
    Place the dough on the parchment paper. Using your hands or a spatula, press it out into a 10-12 inch circle.
  4. Bake crust:
    Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes or until golden and firm.
  5. Add toppings:
    Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
    Sprinkle mozzarella cheese, then add sausage, bacon, mushrooms, and bell peppers.
  6. Bake pizza:
    Return pizza to oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish & serve:
    Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil or oregano. Slice and enjoy!
