  • 1 can of crushed pineapple, drained
  • 1 pint of fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 cup of chocolate syrup

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until thickened. Set aside.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  4. To assemble the trifle, start by layering half of the cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle dish or a large glass bowl.
  5. Top the cake layer with half of the pudding, followed by a layer of sliced bananas, crushed pineapple, and sliced strawberries.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining cake, pudding, and fruits.
  7. Finish the trifle with a layer of whipped cream, chopped nuts (if using), a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and maraschino cherries.
  8. Refrigerate the trifle for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
