Ingredients:
- 8 large eggs
- 3β4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard (optional)
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
- 1 small carrot (for beaks & feet)
- Black peppercorns or olives (for eyes)
- Paprika (optional, for garnish)
π³ Step 1: Boil the Eggs
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with water.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10β12 minutes.
- Remove and transfer to cold water (ice bath) for 5β10 minutes.
- Peel the eggs carefully.
πͺ Step 2: Cut the Eggs
- Slice a small portion from the bottom so the egg can stand upright.
- Cut the top 1/3 portion off (this will be the βcapβ or chickβs hat).
- Gently remove the yolks and place them in a bowl.

- Mash the yolks with a fork until smooth.
- Add:
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
- Salt & pepper
- Mix until creamy. You can adjust thickness with more mayo.
π₯ Step 4: Fill the Eggs
- Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
- Let the filling slightly overflow to look like a fluffy chick.
π₯ Step 5: Decorate the Chicks
- Place the βegg topβ slightly tilted like a cracked shell hat.
- Cut tiny triangle pieces from carrot for beaks.
- Cut small thin strips for feet.
- Use peppercorns or olive bits for eyes.
- Gently insert all decorations into the filling.

- Sprinkle a little paprika on extra filling or around the plate.
