Ingredients
- 2 × 400 g puff pastry sheets
- 3–4 teaspoons mustard (Dijon or mild)
- 150 g hard mozzarella cheese, grated
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Prepare pastry: Roll out one puff pastry sheet. Spread a thin, even layer of mustard over it.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle grated mozzarella evenly on top.
- Top & seal: Place the second puff pastry sheet over the first. Gently press to seal.
- Cut & twist: Cut into strips (about 2–3 cm wide). Twist each strip a few times.
- Bake: Arrange on the tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, until puffed and golden.
- Serve warm as a snack or party appetizer.
Optional add-ins
- Sprinkle sesame or poppy seeds on top
- Add herbs (oregano, thyme)
- Use spicy mustard for extra kick
