These olive oil–marinated feta cubes are tangy, creamy, herby, and addictive — perfect on their own, with crackers, or tossed into salads.
🛒 Ingredients
- 250g (8–9 oz) feta cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
- ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
- 1 tsp crushed garlic (or garlic powder for milder flavor)
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional for brightness)
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
- Optional: sliced olives, fresh thyme sprigs, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra depth
👩🍳 Instructions
- Cube the Feta
Cut feta into uniform bite-sized cubes. Pat gently with a paper towel to remove excess moisture. - Layer in a Bowl or Jar
Place cubes in a clean jar or dish. Sprinkle herbs, garlic, chili flakes, and lemon zest over. - Add Olive Oil
Pour olive oil over the cheese until fully covered. Gently shake or stir to coat evenly. - Chill & Marinate
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (ideally 24 hours) before serving. - Serve
Bring to room temp before serving for the olive oil to liquefy. Use on salads, charcuterie boards, or eat straight with toothpicks.
