Ingredients

For the Chaffles:

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, pickles (for toppings)
  • Mustard or mayo (for serving)

Instructions

For the Chaffles:

  1. Preheat your waffle maker and spray with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, shredded mozzarella, almond flour, baking powder, and seasonings.
  3. Pour about 1/4 of the mixture into the waffle maker and cook for 3-4 minutes, until golden and crispy. Repeat to make 4 chaffles.

For the Burger:

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide into 4 equal patties.
  3. Grill or cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, until desired doneness.
  4. Top with cheddar cheese during the last minute of cooking, if using.

To Assemble:

  1. Place a burger patty on one chaffle, add your toppings (lettuce, tomato, pickles), and spread mustard or mayo if desired.
