👩🍳 Instructions
1. Boil the Eggs
- Place eggs in a pot, cover with water, and bring to a boil.
- Boil for 10–12 minutes, then cool in ice water.
- Peel carefully and set aside.
2. Slice and Scoop
- Slice each egg horizontally across the top ⅓ — this will be the “hat.”
- Gently scoop out yolks and place them in a bowl.
3. Prepare the Filling
- Mash yolks with mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), mustard, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until smooth. Use a piping bag or spoon to fill each egg bottom generously.
4. Decorate the Chicks
- Place the top of the egg (the “hat”) slightly tilted on top.
- Cut tiny triangles of carrot for beaks and press into the filling.
- Use olive or peppercorn dots for eyes.
- Optional: sprinkle paprika for blush or add herb “grass” around base.
💪 FitFuel Twist (High-Protein Version)
- Swap mayo for non-fat Greek yogurt.
- Add a little boiled egg white to the yolk mix to lower fat.
- Mix in 1 tsp unflavored protein powder (optional) for extra protein boost.
📦 Storage Tip
- Best served fresh, but you can prep filling and eggs separately a day in advance.
- Assemble just before serving to keep the chicks perky!
