Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lb Brussels sprouts, cleaned and halved*
- 1/8 tsp salt or to taste
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 400F. Toss the halved Brussels sprouts with salt, pepper, and 1 tbsp of olive oil.
- Combine parmesan cheese with garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Prepare a small sheet pan or baking dish with parchment paper. Brush the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil over the parchment paper, and evenly sprinkle the parmesan mixture over the oil.
- Arrange the Brussels sprouts over the cheese, cut-side-down, pressing them slightly into the cheese as you place them. Roast for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese turns a deep, golden brown.
- Let the sprouts rest for 5 minutes. Use a spatula to cut the cheese between the sprouts, then flip them over and serve.
Notes: *How to clean Brussels sprouts:
