Homemade Pizza Rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni
- 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Marinara sauce (for dipping)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Prepare Pizza Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
- Add Sauce and Toppings: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Add chopped pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and black olives. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder.
- Roll the Dough: Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.
- Slice into Rolls: Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick rounds. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.
- Brush with Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the tops of each pizza roll with the egg wash to give them a golden brown finish.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the pizza rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve: Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
