Homemade Pizza Rolls

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Marinara sauce (for dipping)

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare Pizza Dough: Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Add Sauce and Toppings: Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Add chopped pepperoni, bell peppers, onions, and black olives. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder.
  4. Roll the Dough: Starting from one of the longer edges, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seam to seal.
  5. Slice into Rolls: Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled dough into 1-inch thick rounds. Place the slices on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each roll.
  6. Brush with Egg Wash: In a small bowl, beat the egg. Brush the tops of each pizza roll with the egg wash to give them a golden brown finish.
  7. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the pizza rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Serve: Allow the pizza rolls to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
